If anyone has any dietary restrictions or requires special accommodations in ground transportation or lodging, please inform Teri Keeler (Teresa.Keeler@colorado.edu).
Travel
US Academic participants, who have been promised travel support, may make flight reservations directly through our University of Colorado travel agent at Boulder Travel. Contact Tania Down (taniad@bouldertravel.com or 1-800-336-0380, ext. 1334) and reference the 2008 Bi-Lateral Workshop. She has a list of supported travelers and will be able to charge the flights directly to the Workshop. If you opt to make your own arrangements, you may apply for reimbursement after the Workshop.
Please note: there was a previous e-mail sent to everyone previously attending the May Workshop with instructions on re-booking the unused tickets. If you originally booked through Boulder Travel then they have your records and can help you re-book for November. If you booked through another agency in May then you must re-book with them directly. If anyone has any problems or questions pertaining to this then let me know as soon as possible at tkeeler@colorado.edu.
Chinese participants are paying for their own airfare and making their own China/Denver round-trip travel arrangements.
Non-Academic participants are paying for their own airfare and making their own travel arrangements.
Ground Transportation
Ground transportation for all Chinese and US Academic participants will be provided by Boulder Super Shuttle,http://www.bouldersupershuttle.com/. We have a group reservation and will e-mail everyone a printable ticket and details. If you elect to use other transportation, please let us know so we may remove you from the Shuttle list.
Non-Academic participants are paying for their own ground transportation and may make their own arrangements.
Lodging (Note: The reservation deadline was October 10)
Teri Keeler (tkeeler@colorado.edu, +1 303 492-5243) will arrange rooms for all participants among a block reserved for the Workshop at the Hotel Boulderado, 2115 Thirteenth Street, Boulder, Colorado 80302. The Hotel check-in time is 4:00 pm and the checkout time is 11:00 am. Early arrivals are subject to availability. Workshop participants need not contact the hotel directly. Where possible, academic participants are encouraged to book double rooms together; the saving in room charges is considerable. Everyone must, however, provide Teri with your flight itinerary as soon as possible so departure and arrival information can be used in making these reservations.
Lodging for Chinese participants is provided for the duration of their stay, assuming arrival on Sunday November 9th and departure on Saturday November 15. If your dates are different, please e-mail Teri immediately so the room list can be updated.
US Academic participants will be provided 4 nights of lodging beginning November 10.
Non-Academic participants are paying for their own lodging, but reservations will still be made through Teri who will provide the full room list to the Hotel. The Boulderado hotel will request a credit card when you check in.
Meals
Chinese participants will be provided meals throughout the duration of their stay.
US non-local participants will be provided meals during the Workshop Tuesday breakfast through Friday lunch. This includes breakfast, coffee breaks, lunch and 3 arranged dinners. There will be an icebreaker scheduled on Monday evening November 10.
Local participants are included in the hotel meal package during the Workshop Tuesday through Friday lunch. This includes breakfast, coffee breaks and lunch. Local participants are not, however, included in the 3 arranged dinners.
